CO2 Extract Broccoli Rabe (Rapini) Organic
Naturally rich in fatty acids, particularly erucic, linoleic and oleic acids, this extract has emollient properties and helps to soften and smooth the skin. Its linoleic acid content helps maintain the skin barrier and preserve skin comfort.
Its profile makes it a valuable ingredient in skincare formulations designed to provide softness, suppleness and comfort to the skin. It is particularly suitable for fragile skin.
Extraction Process
Our Broccoli Rabe (Rapini) CO₂ extract is obtained from seeds grown in Italy and processed at the Florihana distillery in France using supercritical carbon dioxide extraction.
This precise and environmentally friendly method allows for the gentle extraction of the valuable compounds contained in the seeds, while preserving the full natural complexity of the raw material. Adjusting the pressure and temperature then returns the CO₂ to its gaseous state, leaving a pure, solvent-free extract naturally rich in bioactive compounds.
CO₂ extracts have a composition similar to that of the corresponding carrier oil and share many of its properties, while offering additional benefits. More concentrated and potent than carrier oils, they can be used effectively in small amounts. They also have a stronger aroma and a richer colour.
