Naturally rich in fatty acids, this extract contains a high proportion of oleic acid, complemented in particular by linoleic, palmitic and stearic acids.
Its oleic acid content contributes to its emollient and softening properties, while linoleic acid helps support the skin barrier.
Extraction Process
Wild Carrot CO₂ Extract (Daucus carota) is obtained through supercritical carbon dioxide extraction carried out at the Florihana distillery.
This precise and environmentally friendly method allows for the gentle extraction of the valuable compounds contained in the seeds, while preserving the full natural complexity of the raw material.
Adjusting the pressure and temperature then returns the CO₂ to its gaseous state, leaving a pure, solvent-free extract naturally rich in bioactive compounds.
