Ylang-Ylang CO₂ extract (Cananga odorata) is obtained through supercritical carbon dioxide extraction performed at the Florihana distillery. This precise and environmentally friendly method allows for the gentle extraction of valuable compounds from the flowers while preserving their natural complexity. By adjusting pressure and temperature, carbon dioxide returns to its gaseous state after extraction, leaving behind a pure, solvent-free extract rich in naturally occurring bioactive constituents.
Compared to carrier oils, the CO₂ extract is more concentrated and potent, allowing it to be used effectively in small amounts.
