Rose hip CO₂ Extract (Rosa rubiginosa) is obtained through supercritical carbon dioxide extraction performed at the Florihana distillery. This precise and environmentally friendly method allows for the gentle extraction of valuable compounds from the beans while preserving their natural complexity. By adjusting pressure and temperature, carbon dioxide returns to its gaseous state after extraction, leaving behind a pure, solvent-free extract rich in naturally occurring bioactive constituents.
CO₂ Extracts share a similar composition and many of the same properties as the corresponding carrier oil, while offering additional benefits. More concentrated and potent than carrier oils, they can be used effectively in small amounts.
