Our Vitex Essential Oil is certified organic, 100% pure and natural. It is obtained by steam distillation of the berries of Vitex agnus-castus, sustainably wild-harvested in Morocco.
Native to Mediterranean Europe, North Africa, Western Asia and parts of Central Asia, the Chaste Tree - also commonly known as Chasteberry and Monk's Pepper - has been valued in traditional herbal practices for centuries and has long been associated with women's wellbeing.
In aromatherapy, its fresh, earthy and herbaceous aroma with minty, delicately spicy and subtle floral facets blends beautifully with Clary Sage, floral essential oils such as Lavender, Geranium and Chamomile, as well as woody oils including Palo Santo and Cedarwood Atlas, creating beautifully balanced aromatic compositions.
This essential oil is a HEBBD oil (Botanically and Biochemically Defined Essential Oil).
